So many of us have a fractured relationship with this powerful plant teacher. It’s common to go through overuse, abuse, numbing and dumbing down ourselves using this leaf from a young age.

But I want to honour and respect those offering ceremonial work with this plant, and those who are working on creating new relationships with her too.

I am still working on my releasing of old stories with Santa Maria and I actually find her extremely powerful for me now, to the point where she takes me into similar ceremonies like the Grandmother Medicine. She doesn’t let me numb from pain anymore, she zooms in on pain in my emotional and physical body and usually guides me to do self massage or body movements to support those areas of pain within.

But I feel her divinity, I feel her connection to Mother Mary energy deeply, the all loving, non judgemental mother who wants to teach you and hold your hand along the way. I created this Art last night whilst thinking about her medicine even though I rarely work with her nowadays despite being called too. She holds very profound codes and if you meet her in right relationship and from a humble place of listening, she has the capacity to meet you and support you.
