Nettle is the medicine of strength and protection. It's a powerful plant ally for grounding, strengthening and restoring our connection to the Earth. His medicine teaches us about clear boundaries and embodied sovereignty, showing us any leaky energetic boundaries we may have. He also supports physical issues such as allergies, inflammation and chronic fatigue.
A dieta with Nettle, also known as Urtica Dioica, is a profound opportunity to commune with a European and worldwide plant in a deep shamanic style. Nettle is at its most potent in Springtime, in rhythm with the season of cleanse and purification, and is well known for healing the immune system, boosting resistance to allergies, and giving strength to the energetic and physical body.
During my first personal Nettle Dieta, a month long journey three years ago, the Spirit of Nettle presented himself to me as a Grandfather, a Father-like figure. He showed me the places where I lacked boundaries, physically and energetically, and the gaps in my auric field where I needed to be stronger, so I would stop letting in those who were using my energy.
As someone with a history of ME and Chronic Fatigue, this was a big lesson for me, and with his support I began gaining my strength back. I have since witnessed countless others reclaim their strength too.
